How $1 a day supports Girls’ Education in Cambodia

The Atlassian Foundation has donated nearly US$8 million toward Room to Read’s programs. In 2017, Atlassian was the largest investor in our Girls’ Education Program in Cambodia and the largest corporate investor from Australia. Atlassian staff also provide significant personal support to Room to Read through their “$1 a Day” workplace giving program.

BlackRock GIVES

Since 2019, BlackRock has supported over 900+ participants through Room to Read’s Girls’ Education Program in India. In addition, BlackRock leaders across Asia Pacific have supported participants in the program directly through life and career skills sharing. BlackRock employees in APAC continue to find innovative ways to take on new challenges to help Room to Read achieve a more gender-equal world.

Collaboration can lead to great things

Since 2005, Credit Suisse has been one of our largest corporate supporters. They have funded multiple strategic projects, including the development of our 2015-2019 strategic plan, the launch of Accelerator and the addition of Financial Literacy to our Girls’ Education Program in Tanzania and Sri Lanka. Credit Suisse also donates office space for Room to Read staff in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney.

Impact through innovative partnerships

Since 2012, Hilton’s partnership with Room to Read has included financial support, donated auction prizes for global events, donated room nights for staff travel , employee engagement, and a first-of-its-kind Job Shadowing/Career Exposure Program for participants of Room to Read’s Girls’ Education Program in India and Sri Lanka. Hilton's support has impacted thousands of young people across Asia.

The MetLife Foundation

The MetLife Foundation is dedicated to ensuring all individuals have access to the tools and resources they need to participate in a global economy. Since 2017 the MetLife Foundation has supported Room to Read's Girls' Education Program in Bangladesh, Nepal and Vietnam, helping to support girls to achieve their education and pursue economic independence for themselves and their families.

Elevating Room to Read’s work in India

Oracle supports Room to Read’s work by making direct investments in our Literacy and Girls’ Education Programs in India. Since 2015, Oracle has donated over $400,000 to Room to Read’s programs, helping us continue to scale and grow our programs in India.

Helping girls shine in school

Since 2015, the Swarovski Foundation has supported Room to Read’s Girls’ Education Program in India and Vietnam. Through this investment, the Swarovski Foundation has impacted over 650 secondary school girls in the program, ensuring that they have access to the tools and resources needed to succeed.

Rebuilding and getting children back to school in Nepal

The UBS Optimus Foundation supported Room to Read's post-earthquake recovery efforts in Nepal through a USD 1.1 million grant to rebuild schools in Nuwakot and implement our programs throughout the country. This funding is part of the UBS Optimus Emergency Response funding that includes post-emergency children's education as a crucial intervention.
