Agripina joined Room to Read in 2017 and brings 15 years of experience in program planning and management, resource mobilization, budget analysis, coordination, organizational support, stakeholder engagement, gender mainstreaming, team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, program monitoring and evaluation, and operations strategy.
Since 2017, Agripina has held multiple roles at Room to Read and leads with a positive and patient approach to navigating complex challenges and achieving organizational goals. She has provided program operations support and oversight across Room to Read Tanzania, ensuring effective implementation of both the Literacy Program and Girls’ Education Program. In her previous role as Room to Read Tanzania’s Program Operations Director, Agripina successfully led the program operations team towards implementing strategic initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency and ensured timely and effective implementation of programming. She is committed to sharing her passion for literacy and learning for an equitable and just society.
Prior to joining Room to Read, Agripina spent much of her career in the education and health fields where she managed various projects with We World Organization, focusing on education, sanitation and health, protection, advocacy for the rights of children, girls, women and community engagement.She also worked with Medicos Del Mundo, focusing on the fundamental right to health and the enjoyment of a dignified life for groups without to access to healthcare.
She holds a bachelor's degree of arts in political science and sociology specializing in population and health education) from the University of Dar es Salaam, and is pursuing a master's degree of ats in project planning and management from the University of Dar es Salaam. She has been awarded the Project Management Certificate for NGOs (PMD Pro) Foundation Examination for development professionals.
