Room to Read joined The Call To Unite on May 1st with Julia Roberts and Prajakta Koli to bring the joy of reading to children learning at home. 

The Call To Unite, a 24-hour global livestream event started Friday, May 1st to lift our collective spirits and spark a movement to connect people in the face of a world-crisis. As this pandemic has forced us into isolation, it has made one idea clear, we need each other now more than ever.

Participants include more than 200 artists, celebrities and leaders, including Julia Roberts and Prajakta Koli who shared the magic of storytime with Room to Read and celebrated the hope and human potential that education unlocks.
